I keep tripping over the "$a->setCancelText('<h2>Error 401</h2>'); step. (If I comment out start ( ) I don't get this message so I presume it's happening inside the function.)

I thought it might be good to see more of what start ( ) is doing but, unlike Auth_HTTP ( ), I don't see the code for it in Auth/HTTP.php. That made me wonder that perhaps I don't have things installed right and led to my question.

So at this point I figure I'm either not getting to the start function or I'm passing bad parameters in $AuthOptions. Either way there doesn't seem to be a lot out there explaining how start ( ) works. It'd be nice to see the source code. http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4590#4590 rearnest Wed Dec 17, 2008 3:43 pm http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4590#4590 AJAX timer/graph prob - PEAR::Image_Graph displaying garbage http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4589#4589
Author: fj1200

Posted: Wed Dec 17, 2008 11:02 am

Nope. If you are correctly in the right directory, the result should be a listing of all the PEAR packages that are installed already. Run "pear install auth" to tell the installer to download and install the Auth package.

At this point, now that you've found the PEAR installer, you might consider running "pear help" to see what commands are available to you. This page in the online manual will help [1], though I'd suggest reading that entire chapter if you plan on using more PEAR packages in the future.

[1] - http://pear.php.net/manual/en/guide.users.commandline.installing.php http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4558#4558 ashnazg Fri Dec 12, 2008 1:41 pm http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4558#4558 Can't install PEAR packages http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4556#4556
Author: mark

Posted: Wed Dec 10, 2008 2:46 pm

cicero wrote:

Some packages are don't have a stable version yet, so you have a (-f) argument.

so it would be:

pear install -f packagename

Instead of using -f, I'd recommend to use either "packagename-beta" or "packagename-x.y.z" with "x.y.z" being the version number. http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4556#4556 mark Wed Dec 10, 2008 2:46 pm http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4556#4556 Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer UTF-8 causing an error in server - http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4554#4554
Author: DanDaBeginner

Posted: Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:50 pm

I'm having a problem with Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer that has an UTF-8
encoding.. its working fine in my local when I uploaded it in the
server there's an error when excel was downloaded... here's the error:

The following is a list of repairs:

Damage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible.
Excel attempted to recover your formulas and values, but some data may
have been lost or corrupted.

- I have used the $xls->setVersion(; and
$sheet->setInputEncoding('utf-8'); to work around with the utf-8
problem.. working fine in my local but not in the server. my local and
server has the same version of Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer(0.9.1) and OLE
(0.5)..
___

please help - thx. http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4554#4554 DanDaBeginner Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:50 pm http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4554#4554 how to clear form values after failing validation? http://www.pear-forum.org/viewtopic.php?p=4551#4551
Author: mark

Posted: Mon Dec 08, 2008 10:06 pm

QFC puts the submitted values very early into the session array.
