Hi!

I write software for a local clothing shop in my town. I'm about
to clean up and re-organize my code because it's getting a little
messy. Would it be a terrible idea to write my software projects
as PEAR packages, and then install those packages just on our
server? My software would never be available to anyone
except us
- it would never go into the official PEAR repository.

So, for example, I could have a package for "Nancy's order
scanning tool", and "Fred's delivery viewing tool". Maybe they
could all depend on a package that would have my settings in it.

Does anyone do this? It seems like a great way to go to me -
everything organized in a strict way that other programers could
easily understand (for if we ever hire a different programmer,
or for myself in the future)...
